How to set VPN on Android
The use of the VPN is increased exponentially along with the advancement in the technology. For this reason, the use of VPN is not only restricted within the Windows operating. It can be used in iOS as well as Android operating system. But for getting the benefits of the VPN while using an Android operating system, you should know the proper steps which need to be followed to set up the VPN. Though the android operating system supports L2TP as well as PPTP VPNs, here the steps for setting up PPTP VPN are described in the following;
To set up a proper PPTP VPN connection on your Android device, the first thing which needs to be done is procure the following information like i) the address of the VPN or the hostname ii) valid VPN service credentials.
After procuring the above information, you have to open the Wireless & Network settings windows which will be available under the settings icon after pressing the menu button of the smartphone.
After choosing the VPN button from the above mentioned screen, you have to choose the add VPN button. After that select ADD PPTP VPN button.
In this step, you have to provide some valid information for configuring the VPN connection. After entering a suitable name for the VPN connection, you have to input the correct IP address of the VPN server. After that enabling the PP encryption needs to done, though you may be find the preselected check box which is the default setting.
Complete the entire configuring process by tapping the SAVE button. It’s time to get connected with the newly created VPN.
For getting connection, you have to go to the VPN window then select the VPN which you have created. After entering the correct Username & Password, you will be connected with the VPN.
